KWR Approvals Inc. is applying to enter into a development agreement to permit a commercial campground.
Proposal
The applicant wishes to enter into a development agreement to permit an eco-tourism commercial campground. The development is proposed to be done in multiple phases.
The major aspects of the proposal are as follows:
• A main building with a hostel, staff accommodations, campground check-in office, sauna, restaurant, and indoor/outdoor event spaces.
• Up to 100 campsites with tiny homes on wheels.
• Trail system.
• A potential additional administration building.
• Day-use shelters.
• Docks for lake access.
The Development Plans (provided below) outline the development proposal in detail, and include information related to proposed building locations, parking locations, and ecological features of the site.
Process
The application will be considered under the Development Agreement Process.
Status
Staff comments regarding this application have been provided to the applicant. The application is now with the applicant, who is working to address the comments.

The applicant has submitted plans and studies required by HRM staff to properly evaluate the application. The documents are also available for review at the Planning Applications office in Duke Tower.
