ENOn March 7, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of threats toward three HRSB schools. Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are currently investigating. At this time we do not believe students are at risk and school closure are not necessary. Out of precaution, officers will be present at the schools and will actively monitor.

ENAt approximately 9:10 p.m. on March 5, Halifax Regional Police officers attended the Subway on Alma Crescent in Halifax in relation to a hold-up alarm. Upon arrival it was learned that two male youth stole an undetermined amount of money from the tip jar. Upon police arrival both of the youth were taken into custody and will be appearing in youth court later today. The youth are facing charges of robbery, assault causing bodily harm and assault.

ENAt 8:15 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, Halifax Regional Police went to an apartment building in Dartmouth to the report of a man armed with a knife. Officers arrested the 21-year-old man who is charged with criminal mischief and will be making a future court appearance.
