An RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed is a simple way to get updates from websites without having to visit them. Instead of checking a web page every day, you can subscribe to its RSS feed using an RSS reader. When something new is posted on the web page, it will appear in your reader. There are several web pages on halifax.ca that have RSS feeds.
How to use RSS feeds:
- Download an RSS reader app.
- Find the RSS feed link on the web page you want to follow (look for a link at the bottom of the page that says “RSS feed” or choose from the options below).
- Click on the link and then copy and paste the link into your RSS reader.
- Read updates anytime – your reader will collect them for you automatically. It’s like creating your own personal newsfeed.
