Service Reductions Starting February 27, 2023
Beginning Monday, February 27, 2023, Halifax Transit temporarily suspended service on three bus routes, made schedule adjustments to three routes, and removed trips from 30 routes. For more information about these service reductions, please visit our Service Adjustments page.
There are no long-term disruptions to ferry service at this time.

Cogswell District - Temporary Relocation of Scotia Square Terminal

Beginning Monday, June 17, 2024, until further notice, Scotia Square Terminal will be closing to accommodate the construction and street closures for the next phase of the Cogswell District Project.
This closure requires the temporary relocation of the four bays located at Scotia Square Terminal.
The impacted bays will be relocated as follows:
- Stop Barrington St After Duke St Bay 1 (6087) will be relocated to Granville St. Routes that will service this stop include: 1, 7B, 8, 9A, 9B, 10, 93, 123, 127, 135, 136, 137, 138, 158, 159, 161, 165, 168A, 168B, 182, 183, 185, 186, 194, and 196.
- Stop Barrington St Before Duke St Bay 2 (6107) will be relocated further down Barrington St, in the direction of George St. Routes that will service this stop include: 1, 2, 7A, 8, 9A, 9B, 10, 29, 93, 123, and 127.
- Stop Barrington St At Scotia Square Bay 3 (6108) will be relocated to Albemarle St. Routes that will service this stop include: 5 and 84.
- Stop Barrington St After Cogswell St Bay 4 (6105) will be relocated further down Barrington St, in the direction of Prince St. Routes that will service this stop include: 135, 136, 137, 138, 158, 159, 161, 165, 168A, 168B, 182, 183, 185, 186, 194, and 196.
*As of Monday, June 17, 2024, Routes 2 Outbound and 29 Outbound will only service Water St Terminal and a temporary stop located on Duke St before Argyle St.
**Please note: Regional Express Routes (320, 330, 370) will continue to service Stop Duke St Before Albemarle St (9061) after Monday, June 17, 2024.

- Stop Cogswell St Before Gottingen St (6455) will be not be serviced by 9 routes.
- Routes 1, 7B, and 10 will not service this stop. Passengers on Routes 1, 7B, and 10 are directed to Stop Gottingen St After Cogswell St (6773).
- Routes 135, 136, 137, 138, 194, and 196 will not service this stop. Passengers on Routes 135, 136, 137, 138, 194, and 196 are directed to relocated Stop Barrington St After Duke St Bay 1 (6087), located on Granville St.
- Routes 5 and 50 will continue to service this stop.
- Stop Gottingen St Before Cogswell St (6771) will now be serviced by Routes 7A, 35, 136, 137, 138, 194, and 196.
- The temporary stop located on Gottingen St before Nora Bernard St, and which was previously serviced by Routes 135, 136, 137, 138, 194, and 196, will be discontinued.
- Stop Gottingen St After North St (6769) will now be serviced by Routes 7B, 135, 136, 137, 138, 194, and 196.
- The temporary stop located opposite Northwood - Halifax Campus, and which was previously serviced by Routes 135, 136, 137, 138, 194, and 196, will be discontinued.

Cogswell District - Stop Closures - Barrington St Before And Valour Way
Date: Effective Monday, June 17, 2024, until further notice
6 stops on Barrington St between Valour Way/Nora Bernard St and Upper Water St will continue to be impacted by construction. These stops will be impacted as follows:
- Stop Barrington St After Cornwallis St (6125) southbound will remain open.
- Stop Barrington St Before Cornwallis St (6104) will remain open.
- Stop Barrington St After Upper Water St (6089) northbound will remain closed. Passengers are directed to a temporary stop on the opposite side of Cornwallis St.
- Stop Upper Water St Before Valour Way (8414) northbound on Upper Water Street before Valour Way will be closed.
