Investigators with the Halifax Regional Police Patrol Division, along with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division, are investigating a bank robbery that occurred in Halifax on August 20.

The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that due to the presence of a possible blue-green algae bloom, a risk advisory is in effect for Birch Cove Beach on Lake Banook. Residents are encouraged to avoid swimming in Lake Banook until further notice.
