We can confirm that the victim in the fatal vehicle pedestrian collision is a sixty-three-year old Halifax woman. We are not releasing her name at this time. The truck was driven by a fifty-three-year-old Dartmouth man. The investigation is ongoing and we have no further details to provide at this time. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted by this tragic incident.

ENAt approximately 3:25 p.m. on July 20, a member of Halifax Regional Police was responding to an emergency call, while en-route the officer was involved in a motor vehicle collision with another vehicle at the intersection of Quinpool Road and Robie Street, Halifax. The officer had their emergency lights and siren activated at the time.
