EN On July 30, at approximately 4:10 p.m., officers responded to the 6000 block of North Street in Halifax to the report of a man assaulting a dog. The dog was taken to an animal clinic by Animal Services where it is being monitored. The dog is not believed to be seriously injured.The 58-year-old Halifax man was arrested at the scene and faces a charge of Animal Cruelty. He will appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date.

ENAt approximately 4:47 a.m. on July 28, officers responded to a residence in the 0-100 block of Alderney Drive to the report of a man who had been assaulted. The suspect and the victim are known to each other and it is believed that this is an isolated incident at this time.
