    A Halifax Regional Police Officer is under investigation for an alleged assault that took place on the evening of February 25th, 2018. The incident occurred at the Metro Turning Point shelter and involved a 54-year-old male who sustained facial injuries including a broken nose.

    On March 7, Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of threats toward three HRSB schools. Investigators with the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division are currently investigating. At this time we do not believe students are at risk and school closure are not necessary. Out of precaution, officers will be present at the schools and will actively monitor.

    At approximately 9:10 p.m. on March 5, Halifax Regional Police officers attended the Subway on Alma Crescent in Halifax in relation to a hold-up alarm. Upon arrival it was learned that two male youth stole an undetermined amount of money from the tip jar. Upon police arrival both of the youth were taken into custody and will be appearing in youth court later today. The youth are facing charges of robbery, assault causing bodily harm and assault.
