Countdown to Neighbour Week 2026
Celebrate Neighbour Week annually during the last week of June — June 21–27, 2026
Neighbour Week is about celebrating the everyday connections that make our communities stronger, more welcoming and more connected. It’s a chance to reach out to those who live next door, across the street or down the block. It’s an opportunity to share, learn and build relationships with the people around you. Whether you are new to the neighbourhood or have lived here for years, Neighbour Week is your opportunity to turn simple gestures into meaningful community connections and make where you live feel more like home.
Following the success of the first Neighbour Week in 2025, we are excited to bring the celebration back for June 21–27, 2026, and to continue celebrating it annually during the last week of June.
Join the movement in your own front yard, hallway, park or community space. This week-long celebration is a chance to spark joy, get inspired, initiate activities in your neighbourhood and take part in something larger. We encourage you to share your experiences across the municipality using #HalifaxNeighbourWeek.
More details and resources for Neighbour Week 2026 are coming soon. Check back regularly for updates, or contact your regional Community Developer to learn more.
