13.1.1 Rodent Control [PDF]

 Motion:
That Halifax and West Community Council recommend Halifax Regional Council direct staff to:
1. Continue to bait for rodent control, as required, on municipal property; and,
2. Investigate options for voluntary compliance with the construction community for a period of 10 to 14 days prior to demolition or major construction.

The Committee may rise and go into a private In Camera session, in accordance with Section 19 of the Halifax Regional Municipality Charter, for the purpose of dealing with the following:

15.1 Personnel Matter:

Citizen appointments to boards and committees in keeping with the Public Appointment Policy adopted by Regional Council in August 2011, to be found at http://www.halifax.ca/city-hall/boards-committees-commissions/volunteer-boards-committees/public-appointment-policy

15.1.1 Citizen Appointments to the Regional Watersheds Advisory Board

Motion:
That Halifax and West Community Council:
1) Proceed to appoint one Citizen Representative to the Regional Watersheds Advisory Board for a term to November 2018.
2) It is further recommended that the citizen appointment be released to the public following ratification and notification of the successful candidate.

15.1.2 Citizen Appointments to the Point Pleasant Park Advisory Committee

Motion:
That Halifax and West Community Council:
1) Proceed to appoint four citizens to the Point Pleasant Park Advisory Committee for a term to November 2018 as outlined in Attachment #1 of the Private and Confidential staff report dated December 5, 2016.
2) It is further recommended that the citizen appointment be released to the public following ratification and notification of the successful candidate.

15.1.3 Citizen Appointments to the District 7 and 8 Planning Advisory Committee
 Motion:

That Halifax and West Community Council:
1) Proceed to appoint three citizens to the District 7 and 8 Planning Advisory Committee for a term to November 2018 as outlined in Attachment #1 of the Private and Confidential staff report dated December19, 2016.
2) It is further recommended that the citizen appointment be released to the public following ratification and notification of the successful candidate.
