13.1.1 Case 20936: MPS/ LUB Amendments and Development Agreement for Long Lake Village, at Cowie Hill Road and Northwest Arm Drive, Halifax [PDF]
Motion:
That Halifax and West Community Council:
1. Recommend that Regional Council give First Reading to consider the proposed amendments to the Halifax Municipal Planning Strategy (MPS) and Halifax Mainland Land Use By-law (LUB), as set out in Attachments A and B of the staff report dated June 15, 2018, to allow changes to the required amount of land area and unit mix for apartment sites on Lots N1, N2 and N3A within Long Lake Village, at Cowie Hill Road and Northwest Arm Drive, Halifax, and schedule a public hearing; and
2. Recommend that Regional Council approve the proposed amendments to the Halifax Municipal Planning Strategy (MPS) and Halifax Mainland Land Use By-law (LUB), as set out in Attachments A and B.
3. Give notice of motion to consider the proposed amending development agreement, as set out in Attachment C, to allow amendments to the Long Lake Village mixed-use development at Cowie Hill Road and Northwest Arm Drive, Halifax. The public hearing for the proposed development agreement shall be held concurrently with the public hearing referenced in Recommendation 1.  

13.1.2 Case 20762: Development Agreement for Lynnett Road, Halifax [PDF]
Motion:
That Halifax and West Community Council give notice of motion to consider the proposed development agreement, as set out in Attachment A of the staff report dated May 11, 2018, to allow for a residential development on lands at Lynnett Road, Halifax and schedule a public hearing.

13.1.3 Case 21088: Rezoning for Lands at 20 Tremont Drive (4 PIDs), Halifax [PDF]
Motion:
That Halifax and West Community Council give First Reading to consider approval of the proposed amendment to the Land Use By-law for Halifax Mainland, as set out in Attachment A of the staff report dated June 6, 2018, to rezone lands at 20 Tremont Drive from the R-1 and R-2 zones to the R-2T Zone, and schedule a public hearing.

13.1.4 Case 21439: Halifax Mainland Land Use Bylaw amendment to add lounges as permitted use in the C-2C (Dutch Village Road Mixed Use) Zone [PDF]
Motion:
That Halifax and West Community Council give First Reading to consider the proposed amendment to the C-2C (Dutch Village Road Mixed Use) Zone of the Halifax Mainland Land Use By-law, as set out in Attachment A of the staff report dated May 22, 2018, to add lounges to the list of permitted uses, and schedule a public hearing.

That Halifax and West Community Council request a staff report on not allowing any further rezoning of shoreline properties along the Northwest Arm from the Armdale Rotary to Purcell’s Cove until a full review of the Halifax Mainland Land Use Bylaw has been completed.
