BY-LAW T-1008 RESPECTING THE AMENDMENT OF BY-LAW T-1000, RESPECTING THE REGULATION OF TAXIS, ACCESSIBLE TAXIS, LIMOUSINES AND TRANSPORTATION NETWORK COMPANIES

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that By-law T-1008, Respecting the Amendment of By-Law T-1000, Respecting the Regulation Of Taxis, Accessible Taxis, Limousines and Transportation Network Companies was adopted by Halifax Regional Council on February 24, 2026.

By-law T-1008 amends By-law T-1000, Respecting the Regulation of Taxis, Accessible Taxis, Limousines and Transportation Network Companies. The purpose of the amendments is to modernize regulations for taxis, accessible taxis, and limousines.

The text of the amended By-law T-1000 may be viewed on the Internet in the Legislation & By-law section at halifax.ca or copies obtained from the Office of the Municipal Clerk, 1841 Argyle Street, 1st floor, Halifax between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

NOTICE OF APPROVAL

BY-LAW P-104, RESPECTING THE BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS FOR THE HALIFAX REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that By-law P-104, Respecting The Board of Police Commissioners for The Halifax Regional Municipality was adopted by Halifax Regional Council on October 1, 2024.

By-law P-104 amends By-law P-100, Respecting The Board of Police Commissioners for The Halifax Regional Municipality. The purpose of the amendment is to include language defining the role of the Commissioner of Public Safety position, and the clarification of the respective roles and responsibilities of the Board, the Commissioner and different business units of the Municipality.

The text of the amended By-law P-100 may be viewed on the Internet in the Legislation & By-law section at halifax.ca or copies obtained from the Office of the Municipal Clerk, 1841 Argyle Street, 1st floor, Halifax between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.

NOTICE OF SECOND READING

BY-LAW F-304, A BY-LAW RELATED TO FEES FOR THE PROVISION OF TAXATION INFORMATION

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Halifax Regional Municipality will consider the adoption of By-law F-304 at a meeting of Regional Council to be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 in the Halifax Council Chamber, 1841 Argyle Street, Halifax.

By-law F-304 will amend By-law F-300, A By-law Related to Fees for the Provision of Taxation Information, the purpose of which is to update the fees for the provision of tax information to better reflect actual costs, support full cost recovery under the HRM Corporate User Fee Policy, and reduce reliance on general taxpayers.

The Council will receive written submissions from interested persons concerning the above by-law at the May 12, 2026 session of Council. Written submissions must be received by the Municipal Clerk’s Office no later than 9:00 a.m. on the advertised date.  Written submissions may be forwarded to the Municipal Clerk by email, clerks@halifax.ca, by fax, 902-490-4208; or by mail, P.O. BY-LAW D-601, RESPECTING DEVELOPMENT CHARGES FOR DARTMOUTH COVE

TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Halifax Regional Municipality will consider the adoption of By-law D-601 at a meeting of Regional Council to be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 in the Halifax Council Chamber, 1841 Argyle Street, Halifax.

By-law D-601 amend By-law D-600, Respecting Development Charges for Dartmouth Cove. The purpose of the amendment is to ensure equitable distribution of development charges among affected property owners by updating By-law D‑600 to reflect increased allowable Floor Area Ratios in the Dartmouth Cove Future Growth Node under the Housing Accelerator Fund Action Plan.

The Council will receive written submissions from interested persons concerning the above by-law at the May 26, 2026 session of Council.
