NOTICE OF APPROVAL 
BY-LAW M-400 RESPECTING MARKETING LEVY

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that By-law M-400, Respecting Marketing Levy was adopted by Halifax Regional Council on August 22, 2023.

The purpose of By-law M-400 is to repeal and replace By-law H-400, the Marketing Levy By-law, in response to legislative amendments made by the Province of Nova Scotia, to increase the hotel marketing levy from two percent to three percent, and to require all accommodations registered under the Tourism Accommodations Registration Act to collect and remit a marketing levy of three percent to Halifax Regional Municipality.

BY-LAW T-1200 RESPECTING HALIFAX TRANSIT

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that By-law T-1200, Respecting Halifax Transit was adopted by Halifax Regional Council on August 22, 2023.

The purpose of By-law T-1200 is to promote the safety, well-being, comfort, and convenience of passengers and employees of Halifax Transit.

NOTICE OF APPROVAL 
BY-LAW V-201 RESPECTING IMMOBILIZATION OF VEHICLES ON PRIVATE PROPERTY

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that By-law V-201, Respecting Immobilization of Vehicles on Private Property was adopted by Halifax Regional Council on October 17, 2023.

By-law V-201 amends By-law V-200, Respecting Immobilization of Vehicles on Private Property. The purpose of the amendment is to make various housekeeping changes and to adjust the release fee to $115.00.
