Halifax Explosion Memorial Ceremony
The 103rd in-person memorial service of the Halifax Explosion is cancelled for 2020. Wreaths will be placed at the Fort Needham Memorial Park commemorating the tragic loss of men, women and children on December 6, 1917, and honouring the resilience, recovery and rebirth of those who survived the explosion. Mayor Mike Savage will address citizens on December 6, at 9:00 a.m. on all Halifax Regional Municipality social media channels.
