Street lighting concerns

THIS FORM IS TO REPORT NON-URGENT STREET LIGHT OUTAGES ONLY.  URGENT STREET LIGHTING MATTERS (SAFETY HAZARDS OR BLOCKS OF LIGHTS OUT) OR TRAFFIC SIGNAL ISSUES SHOULD BE CALLED INTO 311 IMMEDIATELY.

Report issues related to street lights such as a light on during the day; a burnt-out, flashing or flickering light; a damaged street light; exposed wires.

Please contact the appropriate party to complete your request.

Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) is responsible for all streetlights on municipal streets and roads, as well as municipal parks and open spaces.

Nova Scotia Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal (NSTIR) is responsible for streetlights on 100-series highways, as well as the Circumferential Highway from the MacKay Bridge to Pleasant Street. Call 1.888.432.3233 for assistance.
