COME CELEBRATE 2023 TOGETHER
The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to its annual live New Year’s Eve celebrations, taking place on Saturday, Dec. 31 from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at Grand Parade.
This free event will include a live TV broadcast on Eastlink Community TV. Our headliner is JJ WILDE who is also the first female Juno Winner of "Rock Album of the Year" since Alanis Morissette. Her live high energy rock shows are a Major hit across the Country and this is our first chance to see her downtown Halifax!
Also on the lineup is emerging star and Amazon's Breakthrough artist of the month, Devon Cole – as well as DJ sets to get the dance floor started featuring Halifax's OKAY TK and Meg B. Returning live for the first time since 2019 will be the annual Atlantic Countdown and largest fireworks finale in the province at midnight.
This year, the municipality has been selected as one of the key cities participating in CBC’s national New Year’s Eve broadcast. Residents are encouraged to come to Grand Parade between 9:30 to 10:15 p.m. for the chance to participate in the broadcast. We will film the National show first and we need everyone showcasing how Halifax has the biggest outdoor NYE celebration in the country!
Halifax Transit will once again be offering free, extended bus and Alderney ferry service from 6 p.m. onwards on Saturday, Dec. 31. This is in support of M.A.D.D. Halifax Regional Chapter, and volunteers will be at the Halifax ferry terminal accepting monetary donations. For detailed holiday service schedules by individual routes, visit halifax.ca/transit-nye.
Dress warm, dance together and let's look back at 2022 and celebrate 2023 live in Grand Parade.
