ENPolice are assisting Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency in relation to a gas leak in the area of Oxford Street and Bayers Road in Halifax. Bayers Road from Windsor Street to Connolly Street is closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic. Oxford Street from Liverpool Street to Edgewood Avenue is also closed.

ENOn February 28 at approximately 7 p.m., officers responded to an injured person that was found lying on the roadway near Gottingen Street and Bloomfield Street. EHS arrived and rendered first aid to a 40-year-old woman and then transported her to the hospital where she later died of her injuries.
