As part of the collective effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19, Customer Services Centres are closed until further notice. At this time, requests for mini-bins can still be submitted, however pick-ups will only resume once Customer Service Centres have resumed services.

Request a replacement countertop mini bin for organic waste.
Residents who receive municipal collection of garbage, green carts and recycling are eligible for a free replacement mini-bin (one per civic address). This includes multi-unit buildings with 6 units or less and condominiums serviced by HRM.
Eligible residents will be sent a service request number which they can then bring to a Customer Service Centre to pick-up their replacement mini-bin.
Apartment tenants in buildings with over 6 units, businesses and commercial properties are not eligible and may purchase mini-bins at local retail stores.
