Bedford Bypass Construction - Inbound Only
Effective: Wednesday, October 10
Duration: Nightly for approximately 6 weeks
Routes impacted: 87
The Bedford Bypass eastbound on-ramp from Sackville Drive will be closed on multiple occasions for resurfacing over the next six weeks.
The hours of work will be beginning daily at 7pm and ending at 6am on weekdays, ending at 8am on Saturdays, and ending at 9am on Sundays.
During these closures, detours will be put in place for Route 87.
(The first scheduled run of the Route 84 weekday mornings leaves Cobequid after construction has finished and the ramp has reopened).
Traffic trying to access the Bedford Bypass from Sackville Drive will be detoured onto Hwy 101, into Bedford, left onto Dartmouth Road, and rejoin the Bedford Bypass at the top of Dartmouth Road to Magazine Hill.
Traffic trying to access the Bedford Bypass from Hwy 101 will not be affected.
Full day closures will be required at some point on weekends during the six-week period for concrete curing on the bridge over Hwy 101.
