Length of trail: 4.5 kilometres
Time to complete:  2–2.5 hours return
Linear or loop trail: linear 
Surface: crusher dust
Other trails adjacent: Belchers Marsh Park, Hemlock Ravine, and Mainland Common.  

Note: The trail is part of the Safe Routes to School in the area. However, the trail crosses several main roads (Main Avenue, Lacewood, Radcliffe, Langbrae, and Farnham Gate) with crosswalks; guards are present only on school days.  Parking is available adjacent to trail access point at Parkland Drive, Westridge Drive and Main Ave on the above streets, except Lacewood.

Halifax North West Trails Association

The Halifax North West Trails Association (HNWTA) is a not-for-profit society whose objectives are to promote the creation, protection, and maintenance of trails within the Halifax Mainland North area including the Mainland Common. This is a large area including the Districts 10, 12, and 16. 

Trail walks are conducted during the spring, summer and fall.
