Lockview High School Park All Weather Field

Lockview High School Park Field is anticipated to close in August 2024 to begin construction of an all-weather turf field scheduled to open in September 2025. The Northern Suburban Area Community Turf Committee championed the project, involving Councillor Cathy Deagle Gammon, the Hon. Brian Wong and MP Darrell Samson.

The upgrade to an all-weather field will allow for extended seasonal usage with more durable material for use in wet weather and field lighting of the field to allow for extended hours of use during shoulder seasons. The field will also include a walking path and an Indigenous programming space.

Parks & Recreation recognizes the support of the Province of Nova Scotia and the Government of Canada. We are pleased to work in partnership with the Department of Communities, Culture, and Heritage as well the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program to develop and promote cultural resources for all Nova Scotians.
