Search the Municipal Archives Database

Check out our new Archives Database!  All the same content is there – just a slightly different look and feel with a few new features.  Contact us if you have any difficulty using the new version.

Some notes to help your search:

  • Archival records are first described as high-level series, not item-by-item, although some photographs, maps, and plans do have item-level representation in the database.
  • This database contains links to some digital content (i.e., scans of documents or photographs), but foremost it is a catalogue of the Archives’ holdings—you can search for types of records, dates, records creators, the activities or functions documented—but not for the actual content of the records.
  • Explore the Advanced Search options to narrow your search by date, by type of format (e.g. only photographs), or only those with digital copies available, etc.
  • Published reports and books from the Reference Collection are catalogued as items.

Contact the Municipal Archives if you do not find what you were looking for, or to enquire if there are unprocessed records relevant to your research (also check for new acquisitions).
